Course Overview

The Graduate Program in Education Inspection was created in 2018 required by the Ministry of Education of the Democratic Republic of São Tomé and Príncipe, in response to a need for specialized training for inspectors and other educational agents. The course had its first edition in the 2017-2018 academic year, four years later, the Ministry of Education of the Democratic Republic of São Tomé and Príncipe requested the opening of a new edition based on the need to promote and consolidate the specialized training of education with the purpose of carrying out the attributions of the St. Tomé Educational Inspection.
This course aims to provide the development of specialized skills for the performance of tasks, such as control, audit, follow-up activities, evaluation and supervision of education and teaching establishments, guaranteeing an innovative, rigorous and effective intervention in the daily inspection action.
The study plan includes four mandatory curricular units of the Master in Educational Sciences - Administration and Regulation of Educational Policies (MARPE) and two optionals that can be chosen from an offer mostly fixed by curricular units of MARPE, with the prospect of achieving master's degree.
