FORMER COLÉGIO DO ESPÍRITO SANTO REFECTORY
Opened in 1589, the room has a rectangular design with nine spans and groin vaults resting on eight white marble Doric columns. The 18th-century chequered tiles are the College’s oldest feature which, together with the large marble tables and magnificent Tribuna (where the Annual Letters were read), make this room unique.
All of the halls of the College's cloister are clad in tiles depicting the various subjects, from Greek Philosophy to Geography and Sacred Scripture, as well as hunting and fishing scenes.
The College Garden, or the Granite Garden as it is known, is a very versatile and flexible outdoor area that can be used for various types of events.
