UÉvora experience

UÉ is synonymous with youth and experience, history and innovation, identity and multiculturality, and learning and teaching. It means living in the present moment with the future in mind. This is the place to go to if you’re looking for unrivalled education, as we prioritise research and career enhancement. One University, one City.

The history of Évora dates back to more than 2,000 years ago. Known as the Museum-City, it was listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Strolling along its streets is like travelling in time: magnificent historic monuments and simple white-washed houses with colourful details in their décor. The University of Évora, the second oldest university in Portugal, lies in the heart of the city, which is surrounded by extensive Roman walls. The hospitality of the locals and the mouth-watering cuisine makes it a city that lives for the students and offers a vibrant academic atmosphere.
The Alentejo region is known for its stunning landscape, rolling plains where the sunset is second to none, and the beaches on the Vicentina Coast. As poet Manuel Alegro puts it, Alentejo is home for those who choose to live here.

Sem Título

I study Nursing at the University of Évora and entered this bachelor's degree with high expectations because I had heard exciting testimonies about the S. João de Deus School of Nursing.

What stands out most about this Degree is the early integration in the clinical field, through incorporation into the hospital environment. Here we acquire a lot of knowledge in a real context, which represents an added value in our training as future nurses.

Évora is a city with a lot of academic life and that makes us feel at home, and the University itself also integrates and welcomes us!
