Student participation

Student participation

Student participation can encompass all aspects of academic life to which students can contribute, whether formally, through existing structures and mechanisms, or informally, through individual action (Huddleston, 2007). This is the main objective and contribution of the Comprehensive Student Participation Plan (PIPE_UÉ) which, from an early stage, the University of Évora assumed as its own by committing to its implementation.

Comprehensive student participation plans are a key element in achieving the aforementioned objectives, as they define a broad and coherent set of actions that affect all dimensions on which student participation can be viewed. They are also integrated plans, coherently aligned with the objectives and strategies of universities, assuming the involvement of the entire academic community, also contributing to the development of a culture of student participation.
