Course Overview

The study plan of this course provides students with artistic, cultural and scientific training, promoting experimental theatre practice through public exercises and performances, thus equipping students with the tools that they need to offer creative solutions in the world of contemporary theatre. Students are included early on in research/creation processes carried out by faculty members as part of the CHAIA (Centre for Art History and Artistic Research), cultivating an interest in pursuing postgraduate studies and contact with scientific production at an international level. This degree is part of an extensive Erasmus partnership network and exchange programmes, giving students the opportunity to take part in stimulating learning experiences both in Europe (Italy Spain, France, England, Slovenia; Turkey) and at several Brazilian universities.

Career Prospects


A diverse range of artistic activities related to the Performing Arts (working as an actor, staging, dramatic writing, lighting and sound design, set design, production); drama teacher; cultural entertainment; higher education and research; specific theatrical work focusing on animated objects, theatre and community, theatre and education, theatre and heritage, performance, techniques and production.
