Course Overview
The aim of the Post-graduation Course in Epidemiology to make contributions and instruments that allow health professionals, from the social and municipal sector to develop analytical and operational skills for decision making and action in situations of epidemic outbreaks, national and international organizations, such as the one currently experienced under Sars-Cov2. This Post-Graduation is offered from two training courses each with 30 ECTS. Students who complete the 60 ECTS of the Course obtain the Postgraduate certificate. Those who complete only one of the Training Courses will have access only to the respective certificate of completion of the course.

Career Prospects
The professionals who choose to carry out this training, can exercise in any health organization, in the social or local sector, that is called to deal with issues related to epidemic outbreaks, namely the contingency and respective phases, declaration of isolation programs / measures, epidemiological surveillance or risk communication.
Specific Entry Requirements
To hold a Bachelor's degree or legal equivalent in the area of health, social or municipal sector, holders of a foreign higher academic degree, in the above mentioned areas, conferred following a first organized study cycle, in accordance with the principles of the Bologna by a State adhering to this process or even holders of a foreign higher academic degree, in the mentioned areas, which is recognized by the Scientific Council of the Host Institution, as satisfying the objectives of the Bachelor's degree.
