Course Overview

The Management Department of the University of Évora in collaboration with the São João de Deus Higher School of Nursing, with the ARS Alentejo I.P. as a partner, prepared a postgraduate training course in Health Unit Administration aimed at improving skills in the fields of management to health professionals in primary care, hospital and continued care. The general objectives of this course are to provide students with adequate and solid scientific training in the area of management; to enhance the ability to solve problems and create solutions in non-routine and unpredictable situations; to develop the ability to argue and make value judgments in the context of limited and/or incomplete information; to stimulate transdisciplinary and integrated reasoning in organizations, enhancing leadership skills; consolidate cultural, social, ethical and citizenship values, which are the guarantor of social cohesion and stability; develop the ability to implement and use information and communication technologies to support management; develop a culture of constant application of ethics and professional deontology; develop skills in the field of self-directed or autonomous learning.

Specific Entry Requirements

Holders of a bachelor's degree or legal equivalent; Holders of a foreign higher academic degree conferred following a 1st cycle of studies organized in accordance with the principles of the Bologna Process or which is recognized as meeting the objectives of the bachelor's degree; Holders of a scientific or professional curriculum that is recognized as attesting to the capacity to carry out this cycle of studies.
