The Master in Artistic Practices in Visual Arts is focused on the study of the issues raised by contemporary thought about art and artistic practice. The research is centred on the creative exploration of present theoretical, conceptual, technological and practical tools for artistic creation. The training results both from the study of art theory, criticism and history and the learning of practical skills for the creation, elaboration and development of projects. The student develops skills through: theoretical disciplines that prepare and frame the artistic praxis; theoretical-practical disciplines, which combine artistic practice and the exemplification and discussion of theoretical themes that are behind artistic practice, and; disciplines of laboratory practice aimed at the exercise of techniques and technologies, empowering the student in the use of fundamental tools to artistic practices. The information provided and the strategy of the tutorials are directed to the particular interests of the students, enhancing the formal experimentation and iconographic creation that belongs to the territory of contemporary art.
