Course Overview
The PhD program in Archaeology provides a very interdisciplinary approach, with a view to obtaining diverse readings and understandings of archaeological phenomena, from the pre-historical period to the industrial period and seeks to train researchers and graduates to be able to: - Inventory, analyze, understand and synthesize ideas and knowledge in the specific field of archaeology or related fields; - Demonstrate the ability for enhanced knowledge in the field of archaeology through use of, theoretical concepts, analytical methods and techniques and examination of complex scientific problems in this area; - Develop critical reasoning and reflection; - Cultivate new ideas and research with the highest quality of scientific and academic standards; - Carry out an original research through critical analysis of archaeological issues, thus contributing to the expansion of scientific knowledge in this area; - Developing the ability to communicate (oral and written) with peers, the academic community, and the society at large, on the issues in this field.

Specific Entry Requirements
a) Master's degree or legal equivalent;
b) Bachelor's degree, with a particularly relevant academic or scientific curriculum recognised by the university's legal scientific body, as evidence of the candidate's ability to complete this cycle of studies;
