Course Overview

A cutting-edge higher education programme, this degree equips students with the skills and knowledge required to retain employment in artistic and scientific fields of music. The professors themselves are renowned national and international music teachers and musicians. Students participate in several ensembles, depending on the instrument they play, which may include the UÉ Orchestra led by maestros Christopher Bochmann and Kodo Yamagishi, the Jazz Orchestra led by maestro Claus Nimark, the Choir led by maestro Ian Mikiirtoumov, and possibly play in Jazz bands and local ensembles.

Career Prospects

Depending upon the course branch, graduates may choose to become performers, composers, soloists, join a musical ensemble or take part in activities related to musical entertainment, the recording industry or music distribution.
