The Master program in Nursing Studies confers the Master's degree in Nursing and was designed to train nurses who contribute to the research, teaching, management and development of the discipline. Thus, it aims to prepare and develop nursing thinking and innovation, to design and develop forms of intervention and research, at a clinical, individual and group level, in a multidisciplinary and intersectoral way. It allows the development of theoretical, historical and epistemological knowledge, as well as scientific competences based on research, on the resolution of nursing problems and on the processes of quality management in health, through an interface with clinical research in nursing and conceptual research for disciplinary and professional construction.
Candidates have a high-value opportunity to predominantly ensure the acquisition and deepening of scientific knowledge through academic specialization through research, innovation or the deepening of professional skills, aimed at understanding and solving problems in broad and multidisciplinary contexts, providing sound cultural and technical training and lifelong learning of the highest quality.
This Master program is intended for all licensed nurses, or with a specialization course, but who do not hold the master's degree.

The Master program in Nursing Studies, provides the development, integration and sedimentation in the level of the professional paths, in the liberal exercise of the profession or exercise of the profession in public or private institutions. This integration is described at national or international level, namely: General Hospitals, Specialized Hospitals; Health centers; Higher Schools; Nursing Clinics or Companies.
Specific Entry Requirements
Holders of a bachelor's degree in nursing or legal equivalent;
Holders of a foreign higher academic degree conferred following a first cycle of nursing studies organized in accordance with the principles of the Bologna Process by a State adhering to this Process;
Holders of a foreign higher academic degree that is recognized as satisfying the objectives of the degree of bachelor's in nursing by the scientifically competent competent organ of the higher education institution where they wish to be admitted;
Holders of a school, scientific or professional nursing curriculum that is recognized as attesting to the capacity to carry out this cycle of studies by the scientifically competent body of the higher education institution where they wish to be admitted.
