Master Degree

Course Overview

With this master programme is intended to: deep the knowledge acquired with 1st cycle; answer to what is required to be a landscape architect by national and international entities; create professionals able to act based on a solid and specialized formation (ecological, cultural, technic and aesthetical, covering a wide range of types and scales of projects related with the landscape use and the open space design. To this master programme corresponds: more competences; the autonomous elaboration and coordination of landscape design, landscape plans and programs; a larger capacity to communicate clearly the analysis and the proposals of landscape designs and plans; the capacity of being conceptually critic and innovative; the critic evaluation, the definition of strategies and the elaboration of documents related with landscape designs and plans; the development of know-how and original attitudes in an research context.

Duration: 4 Semesters/120 ECTS credits (61.5 required and 13.5 optional in curricular units)

Career Prospects

Enterprises on studies and project in Landscape Architecture, Architecture and Urbanism; local administration (city councils), central administration (coordination commissions of regional development, nature and biodiversity conservation institutes, architectonic patrimony management institutes), building and management of open spaces enterprises; research and teaching.

Specific Entry Requirements

Graduates in Landscape Architecture, with scientific or professional curriculum recognized by the Scientific-Council of the institution; For candidates with a degree in a related field, it could be applied crediting plans. Each case will be considered by the Master Director listening to the candidate and proposing the Scientific Council the appropriate accreditation.
