In this curricular unit, it is intended that the student acquires a level of comprehensive knowledge in this area. Specific objectives are also to contribute to a broader view of current research using technologies applied in sport and health, their scientific issues, research models and experimental approaches, methodologies, and techniques, applications, and impact on current society.

The presented contents and learned knowledge will also be applied in the elaboration of a project in the area of technology applied to sport or health, depending on the students' option.
The evaluation process will thus comprise the development of a project in the area of technology applied to sport or health, carried out in groups, complemented with the formal presentation of the project: (i) final document with the project (70%); (ii) formal presentation of the project (30%).
