This curricular units aims to provide the students with a general overview on the geographic and chronological distribution and organization of hunter-gatherers populations during the Paleolithic. At the same time, it aims to discuss the main theory, methods and techniques used on the investigations on paleolithic research, with special emphasis on the ecological and environmental setting occupied by these populations.

Teaching Methods
It is intended that while reading the recommended bibliography, the student is introduced to each topic on the different theoretical-practical content. This willl consist on a brief presentations on each topic, followed by practical examples, where it is intended that the student consolidates the concepts that studied.
Evaluation: 1 individual essay/review (50%); 1 group essay (elaboration and discussion of a synthesis work) (50%)
