To present different issues on different contexts of history of science, in social, cultural and political Science. Identify the scientific construction as a historical process, the role of scientific controversies and defeats of science, as part of the construction of scientific knowledge.

Historical perspective of the construction of big science - Scientific Theories.
History of Science in the 19th century change: Comte, Mach, Tannery and Duhem.
History of Science in the 20th century: Sarton, Congress, Bachelard, Koyré, Merton, Kuhn, Lakatos and Holton.
Scientific controversy: impacts and communication.
Study some of the controversies in the scientific focus of Physics.
Historical perspective of the construction of big science - Scientific Theories.

Teaching Methods
Lectures on different thematic dossiers pair chosen address. Seminars: focuses the debate and the strong involvement of students in the sessions. Incentives to participate in forums outside of the specific HFC.
