It is expected that the students attend to advanced courses or conferences offered by national or international investigators, organize seminars to the presentation and divulgation of the results for the thesis, offer Oral or Poster presentations in scientific meetings or congresses, assist undergraduate courses on Biochemistry or related subjects or other activities that may contribute to soft skills development.

Objectives accordingly the Artº 28 of the DL 74/2006.

Contents

Attendance to advanced courses or conferences offered by national or international investigators;
Organization of seminars to the presentation and divulgation of the results for the thesis;
Oral or Poster presentations in scientific meetings or congresses; Monitoring undergraduate courses on Biochemistry or related subjects; Other activities.

Teaching Methods

Students are expected to complement their training by attending advanced courses or conferences held by national and international experts; organizing seminars to disseminate the results of their work; participating in scientific meetings with presentations of communications, or collaborating in teaching within their area of expertise, among other activities.Tutorial classes will serve to assist students in making their training and/or scientific communication choices, as well as to reflect on the importance of these events.Based on the work developed during the Doctoral Course, within the scope of this course unit, students should prepare a report containing the scientific activities carried out, which should include details of published scientific articles, presentations at conferences, and other activities deemed relevant.A report will be prepared based on the work carried out.

Assessment

Students must prepare a report on the work presented.The report should be submitted to the instructor responsible for the course unit by the end of the academic semester, and the result of its evaluation is expressed as Approved or Rejected.
