Learning Goals

This course, through pedagogical practice, have as main objective to develop students knowledge to guide the initiation of horse riding lessons, as well as the basic work with horses.

Provide students with a level of practice as a first step in the teaching of riding through the consolidation of placing in the saddle and driving horse in three movements, both in the ring and outside.

Also in practical terms, an objective of this discipline involves learning specific bases of the three Olympic disciplines of horse riding.

In theoretical terms the main aim of this course is to develop in students the knowledge on various topics of practical lessons:
- Profiles of professional horse riding teachers.
- The teaching of horse riding.
- The teaching and training of horses.
- Specific aspects of the Olympic disciplines of riding.
- The principles of training suited to the equestrian sport.

Teaching Methods

The classes take place over a semester, once a week. Each will last for ninety minutes, under continuous evaluation. This provided that the block of matter is composed of a number of approximately 15 sessions of work.

Only have access to evaluate students who have attendance of 75% effective and participatory classes
Classification Practice - 50%;
Classification Theory - 50%.

Theoretical Evaluation: Has a 30% weight in final grade.
- Two Frequencies in writing that the student must obtain a minimum grade of 9.5 in each.
Evaluation Practice: It has a 30% weight in final grade:
- A good placement in three movements.
- Horse Ridding
Teaching Practice Evaluation: Has a 30% weight in final grade.
Attendance and Participation: Has a 10% weight in final grade. The student has to participate in at least 75% of the workload of the course.
