Presentation

The UC will have general foundations and theoretical hypotheses of psychomotor praxis in psychosomatic disorders as well as criteria for referencing and specificity of the intervention model.

- To Know the etymological and epistemological principles of Psychosomatics;
- To understand the unitary mind-body conceptualization;
- To understand the psychophysiological principles and etiologies of psychosomatic disorders;
- To understand and to think about the theoretical bases of psychosomatic, which are fundamental for the theoretical bases of psychomotor therapy development;
- To know the psychomotor approach and models, according to the psychosomatics theoretical basis.

Contents

- Introduction to the history of conceptualization of psychosomatics as a disciplinary and scientific field;
- Psychosomatic disorders: Physiological and psychological classification;
- Epidemiological, social and ecological issues;
- Transcultural Psychosomatic: The somatization role among cultures;
- The importance of early relationships: Attachment theories and the consolidation of emotional and tonic dialogue;
- Predisposing and determinant factors of psycho-affective development;
- Theory Of Mind: neurological development of empathy (Face-tie and knowledge about others states of mind);
- HPA System: stress management and regulation;
- Mental representation: gestures, from sign to signifier;
- Biological rhythms and body and emotional states;
- Integration of emotional and biological factors in somatic disorders;
- Different therapeutic approaches of a psychosomatic nature;
- The role of psychomotricity as a psychosomatic science and therapeutic approach.

Teaching Methods

Classes take place throughout a semester. The different theoretical concepts of the course will be transmitted during the classes in a expository manner and using audio-visual media and is also intended the development of knowledge in the research methods of this specific area.
The student assessment will be done through two processes:
Continuous evaluation:
- Individual answer to three questions (with consultation) (final average values ≥ 9.5)
Or Final evaluation:
Final exam (without consultation) (note values ≥ 9.5)
