Presentation

To provide students with an interdisciplinary Biopsychossocial understanding of the core aspects of the Aging phenomenon in the process of Human Development throughout the Life Cycle.

1. Provide students with an interdisciplinary Biopsychossocial understanding of the core aspects of the phenomena of Human Ageing throughout the Life Span in contemporary societies;
2. Enable students with the main knowledge about the context and process of emergence of Human Development throughout the Life Span as an autonomous scientific field;
3. Characterize the theoretical-methodological development of ageing throughout the life Span;
4. Develop critical thinking and the ability to reflectively analyze the issues of ageing in contemporary societies;
Competences:
1.Understands the main aspects of lifelong development process and its implications for ageing;
2. It identifies, enumerates and critically analyzes the problems of aging from a life cycle perspective through case studies.

Teaching Methods

Presentation (the theoretical-practical (TP)), classroom-based, and can eventually be applied sessions via platform moodle-uevora. training and simulation of case studies on paper and pencil and computer support; Individual and Grupal Tutorial Support (OT) to the development of a research paper about one of the contents syllabus; Preparation of two works of synthesis based on all the skills developed in the form of portfolio that contributes to (50%+50%) of the final grade.
