Teaching Methods
The syllabus is approached from a perspective of critical analysis of gender issues and their relationships with psychological research and intervention in different contexts. Classes focus on the exposition and critical analysis of syllabus content and the analysis, discussion and reflection of practical situations, considering psychological research and current social issues. Teaching methodologies explicitly aim to promote the active participation of students, namely through critical and reflective analysis around different activities: reading and analyzing scientific articles, watching videos, analyzing content produced by social media, commercial advertising analysis, etc. All materials used are made available on the Moodle platform, which also encourages discussion groups
Assessment
The assessment is designed to enable to meet the objectives of the curricular unit, seeking different assessment modalities.
Continuous assessment: a) written group work, with presentation and discussion in (50%); written test, covering all the material taught (50%). Group work consists of a study to be developed throughout the semester, exploring a theme related to the program; It may be a research work or bibliographical research. This work will be presented during the period.
Final assessment: a) individual written test (60%); b) individual work, along the same lines as continuous assessment work (40%).
The questions in the written tests are designed to assess students' ability to analyze and reflect.
There may be an oral discussion of the assessment tests and assignments.
Classes are mandatory (minimum attendance of 75%).
