The Course has as main objective to equip students with both theoretical and practical tools for identifying and developing strategies and communication policies in the tourism. Specific objectives: To provide students an overview of the importance of communication to the field of tourism; provide methodological tools for the development of communication policies in tourism; Providing tools for program development and communication strategies for tourism; Reflect on the importance of the effects of media on tourism and tourists. Analyze the importance of information and image in tourism; provide analytical models for communication and image of destinations / tourism products. Teaching Methods

The matters to be addressed in teaching theoretical and practical lessons, not only using the methods of exposition and explanation for the transmission of knowledge, while also promoting discussion, reflection and practical work in on the various contents. During the fieldwork, students will use the Alentejo region as a laboratory where they will implement policies and communication strategies in the various regions. The study visits will allow students to interact with different realities and consolidate the knowledge learned in classroom space. Monitoring individual students is done in fixed hours or another time to be determined in advance between the teacher and students. In addition to monitoring attendance, will also be used Moodle as a means of communication.
Continuous Evaluation: Field Work 40%; Frequency: 40% and 20% participation; Exam Normal: Individual Work 50% + Test 50% ; Exam Resource: written test 100%
