1. To analyze the behavioral processes of the human being (homo ludicus) in Its corporeality and posture in the context of organized performance (Show).
2. Understanding theatricality as a cultural factor of social communication
and reflection Relationship with other individuals, as well as with different groups and Social communities, based on a humanistic perspective.
3. Laboratory experimentation of the different phases and components of corporeality and physicality in the Performative Act.
4. Develop the analytical and critical spirit related to communication processes Cultural, the interdisciplinary nature of the different artistic expressions, the Multiculturalism and interculturality.
5. Apply knowledge about theatrical anthropology in theatrical research and Manifestations marked by theatricality.

Contents

1) The anthropological perspective. The anthropological model as a way of describing and Theater analysis as cultural discourse. 2) Physicality as a structuring element of the theatrical phenomenon. 3) Intercultural principles and sub-paragraph. Physiological and Transcultural Factors. 4) Theatricality and Lusophony. Study of some cases. The main objective of the syllabus is to create a spirit of interest and pleasure in the students for the anthropological research and analysis more related to the performative processes that are closest to it.

Teaching Methods

The methodology of this course is based on the systematic analysis and discussion of
approximation to some contemporary theories and practices of theatrical anthropology, as well as
as in the preparation of written papers of analysis and investigation to the corpus
bibliographic.
To be evaluated, the student must be present in 80% of the sessions, that is, the limit of unjustified absences is set at 20% of the total number of sessions in the semester, with the exception of working students.

The student can choose between continuous evaluation or a final exam:
 
1. Continuous assessment
a) Presentation of a work on one of the topics of the program's subjects, to be decided together with the teacher (50%).
b) Participation in debates and attendance (action 20%).
c) Realization of a Frequency (30%).

2. Final exam
Students who opt for the examination evaluation may do so in accordance with the norms in force at the University of Évora and its Evaluation Regulations.
