The Course has as main objective to equip students with both theoretical and practical tools for identifying and developing strategies and communication policies in the tourism. Specific objectives: To provide students an overview of the importance of communication to the field of tourism; provide methodological tools for the development of communication policies in tourism; Providing tools for program development and communication strategies for tourism; Reflect on the importance of the effects of media on tourism and tourists. Analyze the importance of information and image in tourism; provide analytical models for communication and image of destinations / tourism products. To provide a practical overview on the application of communication technologies in tourism Analyze the importance of tourism and the Internet to submit proposals for communication and travel Web sites. Teaching Methods

In theoretical-practical classes, expository and explanation methods will be used to transmit essential knowledge, but also encouraging debate, reflection and practical work in classes on the different programmatic contents. In field work, students will use a municipality as a laboratory where they will develop a project of policies and communication strategies for tourism. Carrying out study visits will allow students to come into contact with different realities and consolidate the knowledge learned in the classroom. Some experts will be invited to address the program’s themes. In addition to in-person monitoring, digital platforms will also be used as a means of communication. Assessment Methodology: Continuous Assessment: Fieldwork 40%; Attendance: 40% and Participation in classes - Ex practical 20%; Normal Exam: Individual Work 50% + Assessment Test 50%; Resource Exam: Individual Work 50% + Test 50%.
