This course aims to provide the students with a geral and at the same time detailed knowledge on the main questions related to the archaeological research on prehistoric investigations. The topics are organized diachronically and will be focusing on major aspects on the evolution of human behaviour.

This course aims to provide all students a broad overview and update of the major evolutionay steps of past hominins,
including from the emergence of the genus Homo up to the origens and onset of agriculture. Although always in worldwide context, the topics will be focusing on Europe and Iberian Peninsula, with special emphasis in the portuguese territory.
