Teaching Methods

The adopted methodology is based on mastery learning, foreseeing good contingencies of reinforcement and quality feedback. Two approaches are outlined: the first - learning for mastery - is aimed at the class, with the programming of individualized learning spaces at the end of each theme. For this purpose, classes in seminar are undertaken. The second - the Keller Plan - is based on an individual education system, tailored to the pace of progress of each student in learning, using lectures and demonstrations and a tutor, who facilitates the feedback/remediation process. Collective work is supported by project pedagogy and a training-action program. Mandatory assessment elements are: a) individual report of initiation to professional practice, with the implementation and evaluation of a project (50%); b) group presentation and oral defense of an educational project considered innovative (30%); c) individual reflection on the acquisition / development of skills (20%).
