Presentation
The aim of this course is to develop knowledge about psychopathological aging, with particular focus on the most common mental disorders at this stage of the life cycle.

1. To know the changes to normal psychological aging through mental state exam
2. To know psychopathological aging risk factors
3. To know the aging associated mental pathologies, as well as the particularities of each clinical manifestation
4. To know the diagnostic criteria of the most common psychopathological syndromes in the elderly

Teaching Methods
The syllabus is approached from the perspective of aging process interpretation and associated mental pathologies, through exposition/reflection, as well as through the analysis of clinical cases. In addition to individual exercises, it is proposed to develop group work around the syllabus. The assessment comprises: individual exercises (60%); group work (40%).
