The Curricular Unit for Development and Innovation in Tourism Projects aims to contribute to the development of skills that allow the design and adaptation of tourism projects to the challenges arising from structural and cyclical changes in society, in a context of innovation, competitiveness and sustainability.
For this purpose, contents will be taught that allow:
1 - Understand the innovation process in tourism projects and the mechanisms and tools associated with it.
2 - Assess trends in global evolution and tourism demand, in particular.
3 - Know and apply models of planning and development of tourism projects.
4 - Develop innovative tourism projects that anticipate trends in tourist demand, within a framework of sustainability.

Teaching Methods

Teaching Methodology
Active method in theoretical-practical classes organized around the collective discussion about texts or other working materials (films, documentaries, participation in conferences within the scope of the subjects covered in the discipline); reading, presentation and critical discussion of selected texts around authors, perspectives and cases of empirical application; presentation and discussion of exercises developed by students.
Field trips
Interrogative method of encouraging active participation by students.
Expository method, using audiovisual media and indication of general and specific bibliography, in theoretical classes presenting the theoretical, analytical and methodological guidelines of the discipline and systematization and problematization of the syllabus.
On the Moodle, pedagogical content, supporting bibliographic references and study guidance sheets are available.
Evaluation: 1 Practical group work: 100% (60% written + 40% presentation)
