Sustainable Development Goals

Learning Goals

The UC aims to promote the deepening of pre-existing knowledge and skills in large areas of science/technology related to medicines (M) and medical devices (DM), as well as the acquisition of new knowledge and skills within the state of the art (rapidly evolving in recent years). Thus, upon completing this course, the student should be able to: i) identify the issues underlying the assessment and quality assurance of Ms and DMs; ii) identify alternative application areas for Ms and DMs; iii) Develop notions about Marketing and Distribution of Ms and DMs; iv) Understand how the processing and analysis of large amounts of data generated by the medical devices universe is performed; v) Understand the articulation of this theme within the NHS and with the individual patient (including access to innovation and the individual care plan), and; vi) understand, elaborate and develop a critical opinion on the aspects presented and put up for discussion.
