Sustainable Development Goals

Learning Goals

The general learning goals promote, at first, the development of experimental skills (practice, explore, test) and, second, improvisational skills (reuse, reinvent, recontextualise).
a. Recognizing that the process of learning requires motivation, curiosity, effort and continued practice; b. Being able to explore the procedural route of discovery in Design - interpretation - ideation - experimentation - evolution in reduced complexity exercises;
c. Start the construction of an imaginary and explore ideas;
d. Try drawing as a way of thinking (in Design) and register / represent / communicate ideas;
e. Understanding the principles and basic rules of Communication Design;
f. Knowing explore various alternatives to address problems or opportunities for reduced complexity in Communication Design;
g. Acquire knowledge to use at a basic level, a vector treatment program to represent and communicate graphically ideas.

Contents

The knowledge, skills and competences to be acquired to develop a low level of complexity and result of learning, whose pedagogical strategy will focus on experimentation and the cause / effect in Communication Design through a vector treatment program.
1. Vector Design (features and functions);
2. A standard itinerary (discovery - interpretation - ideation - experimentation - development) 3. Communication Design Basics;
4. The practical function and the symbolic function;
5. Memory, imagination, imagination and inspiration.

Teaching Methods

Are privileged the active methods to enhance the involvement, interest, analysis and criticism through the subsidiary exposure, individual monitoring of practical work, exploration and simulation cases, solving practical problems, specific exercises of stimulation and viewing relevant iconographic material.

EVALUATION
In the NORMAL SEASON assessment students may choose one of two schemes: Continuous or Final Assessment.

1. CONTINUOUS EVALUATION SCHEME
Evaluation Components:
a) Class participation: 20%;
b) Work developed during the period with the accompaniment of the teacher, which must be submitted, at least, to a periodic evaluation with public disclosure of the classifications: 40%;
c) Presentation and defense of the work developed during the classes, which occurs during the "Regular Season Evaluations": 40%.

2. FINAL EVALUATION SCHEME
a) Work developed during the period with the teacher's accompaniment: 40%;
b) Examination based on the contents taught: 60%.
