Sustainable Development Goals

Learning Goals

Provision of advanced technological knowledge of various levels, using the technical and laboratory capacities
available to the school.
Development and production of complex objects or formalization of ideas according to the specific area of
interest of the student.
Learning in the use of materials, practice of tools and means of work within the scope of laboratories.
Stimulation of experimentation and research in official technologies: chemical, bi-tridimensional and research
of technologies, techniques and materials in the realization of the proposed practical exercises, developing and
deepening new knowledge or knowledge already acquired, in bi or three-dimensional areas.
Taking into account the need of knowledge of the artistic techniques for the construction of the work, it is intended
that the student:
- Structuring and developing a practical work, with an experimental approach;
- Demonstrate the progression and the deeper knowledge gained through experimentation.

Contents

Knowledge of the fundamentals, origin and development of the techniques, systems and processes of the techniques
and technologies to be realized.
Work rules and safety rules.
The physical properties of the materials and their manipulation. Carrying out practical exercises to apply the
different techniques proposed and appropriate to the student's interest and trajectory, in the existing laboratory
areas in the School. Proposing itself in this in UC Technologies and Artistic Materials III, the following content:

1. Molds (negative):
1.1. Molds, plaster;
1.1. Silicone molds;
1.2. Alginate molds;
2. Positives:
2.1. Polyester and fiberglass resin;
2.2. Crystal resin;
2.3. Quick-cast polyurethane resin;
2.4. Polyurethane foam;
2.5. Wax and paraffin;
2.6. Latex;
2.7. Ceramic paste;
3. Painting techniques;
4. Serigraphy - direct techniques;
5. Calcogravura.

In a complementary and timely manner, short-term, advanced-level workshops focusing on various technologies,
techniques and materials are proposed, according to the artist's area of expertise.

Teaching Methods

The program is chained with practical exercises and theoretical exhibitions.

EVALUATION
NORMAL TIME students can opt for a scheme: Continuous Evaluation or Final Evaluation.
RESOURCE TIME, SPECIAL AND EXTRAORDINARY, students only have the Final Evaluation.

1. CONTINUOUS EVALUATION
a) The evaluation components are: Participation in classes: 20%;
b) Work carried out during the period of classes with teacher's follow-up, which should be submitted to at least a periodic evaluation with public disclosure of the classifications: 40 %;
c) Presentation and defense of the work developed during the classes, occurs in the "Normal Time Evaluations": 40%.
- Final classification in the Normal Time, is the sum of a), b) and c).

2. FINAL EVALUATION
a) Work developed during the period of classes with teacher's follow-up: 40%;
b) Test based on the contents taught: 60%.
- Final classification in the Normal Time, is the sum of a) and b).
