Building capacity for reflection and criticism of students through the approach of major issues related to Human Physical
Activity (HPA):
What is the HPA? How do you study the HPA? What is the importance of HPA? In which knowledge is based the study of
HPA? What career opportunities exist in the domain of the HPA?
The approach to these questions will be based on:
1. Domain and deepening of fundamental concepts common to various areas of basic knowledge of HPA.
2. Scientific study of the fundamentals of HPA.
3. Dimensional analysis of the HPA and its labor market.
It is intended that the final outcome will result in a significant increase in capacity to critically study the HPA, giving
students tools to develop specific areas in the future.

Block I - Defining the Human Physical Activity Sciences
Block II - The scientific study of Human Physical Activity,
Block III - General Fundamentals of biological mechanisms for Adaptation
Block IV - Energetical, Informational and Affective resources in Human Physical Activity
Block V - Exercise as an intervention tool of Sports Professional
Block VI - The Determinants of Human Performance Factors
Block VII - Analyze the labour market in the framework of the Science of Sport

Teaching Methods

The classes take place over a semester, once a week. Each will last one hundred and twenty minutes, under continuous evaluation. There will be approximately 15 sessions of work. Sessions will be based in keynotes, interactive sessions through the moodle platform and thematic sessions with the presence of special guests.
