Learning Goals

This curricular unit aims at empowering students, in order to develop and mobilize the various support resources, within the scope of the functional content of the nurse specialist in child health nursing and pediatrics, the master's skills and the student's interests in terms of personal and professional development. It is intended to reinforce the awareness that the student is the builder of his academic and professional project, based on a differentiated path, of active learning, based on responsibility and self-reflection, which supports his training as a teacher and specialist.
Goals
• Articulate the skills of a master and specialist in Child Health Nursing and Pediatrics with the student's interests in terms of their professional and academic development.
• Build a differentiated path, in an academic and professional context, framing the project, in which there is the development of the problem chosen by the student, relating it to the course units.

Contents

The syllabus of the Curricular Unit will respond to the individual needs of the student, according to their training path and work plan to be developed, in close articulation with the advisor.
Thus, the UC program will be materialized in the student's work plan, considering:
1. The project work; 2. The design steps; The competency profile of the Specialist Nurse in Child Health Nursing and Pediatrics.

Teaching Methods

The curricular unit is essentially based on the implementation of active methodologies, namely that of PjBL and PBL (Project Based Learning / Practice Based Learning). The UC includes an initial orientation seminar for the realization of the project. Afterwards, you will have tutorial guidance, including the student and advisor, who define a personalized work program, taking into account the concrete project of the first. The advisor will be chosen by the student, accompanying him / her along his / her training path including the clinical component (Internships and Report). The UC evaluation focuses on the project protocol prepared by the student, in the area of specialization and in his area of interest, presented and discussed with a project jury (two evaluators).
