Learning outcomes of the curricular unit:
Module Museums - Intends to help and guide students to evaluate artistic objects and museum collections
Module Cultural Landscape - Starting with the concept on Cultural Landscapes, keeping on with the evaluation about the specific problems of valorization policies and finally students will be challenged to understand the spectrum of intervention they can do
- In the framework of the module students also could understand the dynamics that have lead to difference types of museum, especially those concerning open air museums and ecomuseums.

Module Cultural Landscape 1. Land Museums and Ecomuseums 1.1. Searching for interventions criteria 1.2. Heritage, landscapes and landscapes museums practices 1.3. The concept of cultural landscape and its operational uses 1.4. Intervention in landscape heritage: tools and strategies 2. Heritage as a land resource. Case studies
Teaching Methods
Reading and analysis of the historical, legal and technical framework relative to the national and international museum universe. Study visits to some museological units. Conferences by invited experts.
- Continuous and formative assessment: consists of participation in the discussions of lectures and conferences, reports on guided technical visits and attendance. The weight of this component will be 30% of the final average. The summative evaluation consists of the oral and written presentation of a draft museological program for a museum unit to be created or, alternatively, a proposal for reprogramming an existing museum unit. The weight of this component will be 70%.
- Exam (100%).
