Presentation

The CU addresses the current perspectives of the psychomotor clinic in educative-preventive and clinical-therapeutic contexts. In practical classes, students apply psychomotor practices with preschool- and school-aged children.

Sustainable Development Goals

Learning Goals

1. Acquire the theoretical and practical knowledge essential to psychomotor intervention within an educative-preventive and therapeutic context;
2. Know and understand the domains and the different stages of psychomotor intervention;
3. Know and understand the role of the psychomotor therapist in the context of childhood mental health;
4. Acquire competencies within psychomotor intervention for different psychomotor disorders.

Teaching Methods

The different theoretical concepts will be transmitted by the professor in T classes, and in the laboratorial practical classes, psychomotor activities and psychomotor intervention sessions will be experienced, in the educational or therapeutic domain. The student assessment will be done through two processes: 1) continuous assessment – mandatory 75% attendance in P and T classes, with a minimum score ?9.5val. in all assessment elements (PL and T components). The assessment of the T component (weight 60%) consists of a frequency, and the PL component consists of two written works with 2 psychomotor sessions with presentation/ dynamization to the and to the professor (40%: 5% attendance and 35% written works). (2) final Exam - consists of a written exam with theoretical contents (60%), minimum score ?9.5 values and approval in all elements of the PL component in continuous assessment.

Assessment

The student's evaluation will be carried out through:

Continuous assessment - requires 75% attendance in both Practical (PL) and Theoretical (T) classes, and a minimum grade of ?9.5 in all assessment components for both Theoretical-Practical (TP) and Theoretical (T) components. The evaluation of the Theoretical component (60% weight) consists of 1 test, and the Practical component consists of 2 in-depth assignments involving the planning of 2 psychomotricity sessions, which will be carried out with the and the teacher (40% weight: 5% for attendance and 35% for the 2 in-depth assignments). Whenever possible, the psychomotricity sessions are carried out in a kindergarten.
Final evaluation - consists of a written exam covering theoretical content (60% weight), with a minimum grade of ?9.5, and passing all components of the Practical component in the continuous assessment. Due to its nature, the Practical component can only be evaluated through continuous assessment.
