Learning Goals

Provide students with knowledge to enable it to identify and understand the concepts and principles of
Strategic Design and Social Design, focusing on innovation processes. The aim of this course is also to
awake a critical student sense, considering the assumptions of both concepts, so that the knowledge
acquired can be exploited on Design solutions centred on the user, in particular by the exploitation of
collaborative innovation principles.

Teaching Methods

In NORMAL SEASON assessment students can choose between two systems: Continuous or Final Evaluation.
1. CONTINUOUS ASSESSMENT REGIME
Assessment Components
Participation in class: 20%;
Work developed during period with the support of the teacher, which should be subject to at least one periodic assessment with public disclosure of ratings: 40%;
Presentation and defence of the work developed during the classes, which occurs in the period of "Avaliações Época Normal": 40%.
2. SYSTEM OF FINAL ASSESSMENT
Work developed during the period of the classes with the support of the teacher: 40%;
Final exam based on the lectured contents: 60%.
