Learning Goals

With the main objective of the process of creating the photographic image, it is intended that the pupil will be
able to adequately perform a photographic project from the idea to the final object, being faced with several
questions posed to photographic practice: narrative and sequence, photographic diary, scale and presentation
modes, themes and visual vocabulary of photography.
It is intended that in the process of creating the final project the pupil can think of images, seeking an approximation
to its nature, the relationships between photography and reality, the notion of photographic essay and
its presentation and diffusion.

Contents

Realization of a photographic project from the idea to the final object:
- Nature and concept, photographic practice: narrative and sequence, photographic diary, scale and presentation
modes, themes and visual vocabulary of photography.
a) - Theoretical themes-history: shows and analysis of portfolios and/or photographic series, from conceptual
photographers/artists.
b) - Practical themes: the process of creation in photography.
- The object/theme of representation; The interpretation of reality. Theory, concepts and methods of production.
c) - Recognition of the importance of interconnection of different approaches in the analysis and contextualisation
of the production of photographic project. Importance of the teacher/pupils ratio: contacts and discussion
during the conception, realization and production of the project.
d) - Presentation of results in the form of exhibition, projection, publication.

Teaching Methods

The program consists of exercises, theoretical presentations of the contents and study visits. The evaluation is continuous taking into account: attendance; commitment; creativity; evolution, and; knowledge domain. There will be a continuous evaluation and a final assessment evaluated by a jury composed of the subject teacher and teachers of the course.In the NORMAL SEASON assessment students can opt for the Continuous Evaluation or Final Evaluation schemes. The RECOURSE, SPECIAL and EXTRAORDINARY seasons are governed by the Final Evaluation scheme.1. CONTINUOUS EVALUATION: a) Participation in classes: 20%;b) Work done in the classes with the teacher follow-up and submitted at least to a periodic evaluation: 40 %;c) Presentation and defense of the work done during classes: 40%.
