Documentary Information Division
Under the terms of the regulations, the primary objective of the Documentary Information Division (DID) is to ensure the protection of the documents it holds, guaranteeing appropriate intervention methodologies and allowing the internal and public enjoyment of the documentary collection, as well as encouraging the defence and enhancement of the archival heritage among managers, employees and the general public.
The DID has the responsibility in the area of archival management, protection and enhancement of the heritage of the University of Évora and other documentary collections that are in its custody or that may be created.
Under its guidance, it contains all the documentation emanating from the different departments of the University of Évora, regardless of its support or format, as a result of the gathering of accumulated documents, in a natural, automatic and organic process, due to its functions and activities.
Their functions and activities and are kept for reference, evidence or information.
It has direct responsibility for the non-current use documentation of the University of Évora, as well as the documentary collections offered or in its custody, and indirect responsibility for the current use documentation produced, received and accumulated by the University of Évora.
