IV International Conference Architectures of the Soul. Religious Heritage: understanding the past, shaping the future
It will take place at the Monastery of Santa Maria da Vitória, in the municipality of Batalha, on October 19 and 21, 2023, the 4th International Conference "Architectures of the Soul. Religious Heritage: understanding the past, shaping the future" which aims to promote the scientific study and discussion around architecture and landscape linked to religious and spiritual practices, based on experiences of seclusion and solitude, being structured around the themes History of religious experience and The future of religious heritage, in order to understand the historical and current values of these places and how they can shape the future.
This initiative is organized by CHAIA, the University of Évora, DINÂMIA'CET, ISCTE, the Foundation for Science and Technology, CEHR, the Catholic University, and the Institute of Medieval Studies NOVA FCSH and the Portuguese Government.
