Session in the scope of the Industrial Archeology UC | Degree in History and Archeology at the University of Évora
Eduardo Romero de Oliveira is the president of TICCIH Brazil (Brazilian Committee for the Conservation of the Industrial Heritage). He is coordinator of the Railway Memory Project. He is currently Assistant Professor at UNESP (Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho, Brazil). He has a degree in History from the State University of Campinas (1990), a master's degree in Social History from the University of São Paulo (1995) and a doctorate in Philosophy from the University of São Paulo (2003). It investigates themes related to cultural heritage, transport history and memory. He has several books and published works on industrial heritage, history of rail transport, memory and cultural tourism. In the last few years he has been developing research on railway industrial heritage (identification, preservation and management), with the collaboration of Brazilian and foreign researchers.
