The objective of this course is to supply the basis that allow students to understand: the organization of the economic system; the organization of the production and the producers economic decisions; consumers behaviour and economic rationality of their decisions.

Teaching Methods

Teaching methods:
Theoretical explanation of concepts, discussion of subjects that can help to consolidate the theoretical concepts, followed by the solution of real problems. This course is offered during the first 8 weeks of the first semester.
For the development of this unit, several types of resources and activities are available in the moodle platform, both theoretical and practical, so that students can reach the objectives defined for the course, through regular interaction between the participants.
Assessment methods:
The evaluation consists of two components: (i) throughout the activities, and (ii) an overall evaluation test at the end of the course. In order to obtain approval, students must respond within 80% of all activities proposed during the 8 weeks of the course (60% of the classification) and have a positive classification in the final global assessment test (40% of the classification).
