a) know various ESMP conceptualizations;
b) understand the singularities of the object of study;
c) discuss and evaluate ontological and theoretical understandings of mental health and psychiatric nursing;
d) Critically reflect on the organizational and contextual realities of mental health.

Contents

Fundamentals, conceptual and historical framework, theories and models of MHPN; Classified language; Indicators of care and Quality Standards of skilled nursing; Concept of mental health promotion; Concept of mental illness prevention and early intervention; Structural determinants of mental health: Social and environmental factors, Age and setting-related factors; Protective and promoting factors for client well-being and mental health; Integrated continuing mental health care; National Mental Health Legislation and Compulsory Treatment Guidelines; Documentary standard for ESMP; Structural determinants of mental health; Disaster mental health; Technical guidelines, legislation and policies regarding vulnerable persons, groups and communities, with emphasis on ethnic minorities.

Teaching Methods

Theoretical presentation, text analysis and reflective discussion centered on students and are predominantly active and participatory, with debate and argumentation.
The assessment methodology is a knowledge test.
