Contents

In this curricular unit there are no syllabus contents, but activities that the student must carry out during their internship.
Includes 40 hours for reporting. internship must be developed only in a service/team, 210h, with the following typology:
- Community Support Teams in Palliative Care;
- Intra-hospital Palliative Care Support Teams;
- Palliative Care Units (inpatient)
Considering the general objectives and competences defined for this internship, the student must plan and develop activities that will allow them to achieve them.
You must join the team, participate directly in the provision of nursing care and demonstrate skills in implementing a quality care plan for people with chronic, advanced and progressive disease, their family and their social group, in all stages of the disease process, including the final stage, maximizing their quality of life and decreasing suffering.

Teaching Methods

The recommended methodology is that the student develops assistance activity, acquires and maintains a critical and constructive sense of his action, is responsible for his self-learning, monitoring it in order to achieve the maximum quality of assistance. It should be guided in the elaboration of a field diary and a systematic record of the participant observation, which it will carry out. Of the total hours at the UC, 40 hours are allocated to the preparation of the report.
Must be supervised by a Clinical Supervisor, specialist/master in the CE area, responsible for your internship and by a Supervisor
Pedagogical, of the school / team of teachers.
It is evaluated on a scale of 0 to 20 values, by a set of criteria that include the Cognitive Dimension, Affective Dimension and Psychomotor Dimension, each operationalized by criteria related to the specialist's skills.
