Learning Goals

Evaluates respiratory and cardiac functionality and diagnoses changes that determine activity limitations, disabilities and participation restrictions. It implements cardiorespiratory training programs, aiming to adapt to the limitations resulting from respiratory and cardiac changes and to maximize autonomy and quality of life.
Diagnoses, plans, executes and evaluates rehabilitation nursing interventions for people with cardiac and respiratory diseases in the acute, subacute, sequelae and/or perioperative periods, aiming at adapting to the limitations resulting from changes in respiratory and/or cardiac functionality and to maximizing autonomy and quality of life.
Manages care and projects, optimizing the response of the nursing team and its collaborators and the articulation in the multiprofessional team.
Produces data that demonstrate results that are sensitive to rehabilitation nursing care.

Contents

1.Rehabilitation nursing care for people with heart and/or respiratory diseases in the acute, subacute, sequelae and/or perioperative periods.
2.Rehabilitation nursing care for people and groups at risk of developing changes in respiratory and/or functionality.
3.Management and supervision of rehabilitation nursing care.
The total hours of the Curricular Unit include 40 hours for the Report.

Teaching Methods

The teaching methodologies are based on learning in clinical practice supervised by nurses and teachers specialized in the area. Minimum percentage of time allocated to each process: 40% for Respiratory Process; 40% for Cardiac Process. Contexts and minimum percentages of time: Hospital or Rehabilitation Center - 50%; Home or UCC or ECCI (RNCCI) - 20%; RNCCI (U. Convalescent, U. Medium Duration and Rehabilitation, U. Long Duration and Maintenance, U. Palliative Care) - 10%; Community/Schools/Groups - 10%; Home or Assisted Living - 10%; Pediatric areas - 10%; Sports - 10%; Context within the specialty validated by clinical supervisor - 10%.
Evaluation:
Clinical Evaluation: Self-evaluation - 15%+Hetero evaluation clinical supervisor - 35%.
Evaluation by Professor: 50% (Internship Project (25%) + Care Planning (25%).
Minimum grade in each component is 10 points.
The final evaluation of each student is the responsibility of the teacher (supervisor).
