Course Overview

The contents of the course have been structured to prepare second-year students at the University of Évora to support new first-year students in their process of arriving and adapting to higher education.
The course aims to promote the development of socio-emotional competences, metacognitive competences and self-regulation.
This course has been structured into 2 ECTS corresponding to 52 hours of work, 32 of which will be autonomous work and 20 contact hours (11 face-to-face, 3 synchronous and 6 asynchronous).
The hours of work will be distributed weekly over a quarter.
The face-to-face sessions will take place in the context of laboratory practice at the University.
The synchronous distance sessions (Zoom) will be used to clarify conceptual frameworks and doubts regarding the work carried out autonomously.
The asynchronous sessions and activities will be digitally supported by the Moodle platform (providing materials and contact with students).
