Sustainable Development Goals
Learning Goals
It is intended that students become familiar with the main methods of processing geophysical data and remote sensing, obtained in places contaminated by metals, namely in abandoned mines, to assess the environmental impact by determining contamination levels. At the end of the Curricular Unit, students must identify the main in situ geophysical and remote detection methods, suitable for the study of environmental contamination and know their theoretical foundations and the basis of their application, from the acquisition and processing of data and interpretation of results .
Contents
1. Processing of geophysical and remote sensing data.
2. Visualization and interpretation of geophysical and remote sensing data.
2. Visualization and interpretation of geophysical and remote sensing data.
Teaching Methods
Practical classes on geophysical data processing and remote sensing methods, and ways of interpreting results. The syllabus will be taught using the application, in the classroom, of data processing techniques, and visualization and interpretation of results. Protocols for carrying out the various tasks will be made available in the course Moodle, as well as content complementary to the study, such as scientific articles with applications of the methods taught.
Assessment
Final exam on the contents covered in classes.
