- To sensitize the students to the dimensions, concepts and problems involving the heritage of the
Mediterranean and Islamized areas of the Iberian peninsula - Study the relationship of al-Andalus with
previous phases - To know and value the intercommunication between people and influences between the
two shores of the Mediterranean - To recognize the existence of examples of tangible and intangible
heritage in different areas of the Mediterranean that intercommunicate - Recognize that the assets in the
Islamized societies assimilated previous values - To motivate students to the knowledge of cultural
attitudes of openness but also of conservatism in the area of influence of the Mediterranean - Recognize
the role of the various minorities in al-Andalus and the Mediterranean in general

Teaching Methods
Lectures with the use of different materials, mainly multimedia. It will be used the analysis of texts of
historical type but always present the case study
- in the territories under study - involving the way they are experienced, maintained, managed and
disseminated the balance traits related to the ancient al-Andalus and the panoply of existing cultural
heritage in the Mediterranean. It is desirable to carry out field trips. Evaluation Tutorial system: In each
semester that is active, the valuation rules, presence and mentoring are set between teachers and
students.
A. frequency Regime 1. Mandatory attendance at 70% of classes 2. Construction of a dossier with: visit
reports; critical documentation on intervention process analysis, safeguarding and dissemination of
certain assets - tangible or intangible - from the methodology proposed ; critical appreciation of Web sites
or publications on a particular subject or theme - 50% 3. Writing Assessment Test 50%.
