Sustainable Development Goals

Learning Goals

The main objective is the preparation of research proposals. In this curricular unit we intend that the students be aware not only of the different ways of research in architecture, but also the different phases in which that work assumes and learn to approach critically the themes which compose its different work fields. This curricular unit arises intends to deepen the question: How can we describe and identify the multiple senses that research in architecture has? The answer will be given through construction of a grammar of research models, in other words, through gathering, analysis and description of different ways how architecture subject answers to its problems. In this context architecture will be understood in a wider way assuming itself as a contamination territory. Accordingly, we call upon other areas of knowledge (philosophy, literature, visual arts, cinema) in an attempt to fix and describe research and construction mechanisms inherent to architecture.
