Develop knowledge and skills aimed at approaching the child/youth and family throughout their life cycle; develop, mobilize and integrate skills for the planning, execution and management of specialized nursing care in situations of special complexity, in the context of community healthcare.
The student must be able to develop, mobilize and integrate skills for the planning, execution and management of specialized nursing care:
Assisting the child/youth and family in maximizing their health
Promote growth and development
Implement and manage a health plan that promotes parenting and health
Diagnose and intervene in common diseases and risk situations
Provide specific care throughout development in situations of special complexity
Analyze the acquisition and development of common and specific competences of the Specialist Nurse in Child and Pediatric Health Nursing reflexively.

Contents

The syllabus contents are related and result from the knowledge, skills, and competencies acquired along with the course's theoretical component and the respective development of the common and specific competencies of the Specialist Nurse and master's in nursing.

Teaching Methods

The methods to be developed aim to develop competencies that promote the care of the child/youth and the family in maximising their health throughout their life cycle of growth and development.
The curricular unit includes 40 hours to Report and hours O (other) hours to develop other activities according to the student's individual project, such as observing different real contexts, participating in congresses, or studying visits. In this Internship, two components are considered: clinical competences in which the student's self-assessment is valued (15%) and hetero-assessment between supervisor and teacher (35%) and professional development competences through written work (50%).
Remarks: Each evaluation element must have a rating of 10 or more to ensure success in the Curricular Unit
