• Describe the national health plan and health programs considering the family health-disease process and the nursing intervention in the various contexts;
• Evaluate the impact of health literacy on individual and family health throughout the life cycle;
• Analyse the main health-disease problems of the individual / family in the various stages of the life cycle;
• Discuss the influence of chronic disease on the individual / family in the various stages of the life cycle;
• Conceive and plan specialized nursing care for the individual in the family throughout the life cycle in the various health programs;
• Discuss the options for intervention in the provision of care to the individual / family in the various health / illness situations throughout the life cycle based on the best scientific evidence.

Contents

. The national health plan and health programs – nursing care for the individual/family in the health unit and at home.
2. Promotion of self-care and literacy throughout the life cycle
3. The anthropobiopsychosocial, cultural and spiritual care:
o Nursing consultation for the family with children
o Food, vaccination and accident prevention
o Children and youth at risk and/or with special needs
o Legislation and programs
o Nursing consultation in sexual and reproductive health
o Sexuality, sex education and prevention of sexual violence
o Nursing consultation in adult health
o Care in situations of wounds, diabetes, cerebrovascular diseases, obesity, infectious, respiratory and oncological diseases
o Nursing consultation for elderly people/families
o Dependence/quality of life assessment
o Violence prevention
o Care networks and partnerships

5. Practice based on evidence.

Teaching Methods

The development of the contents has a theoretical and theoretical-empirical basis, combining theoretical exposure of the syllabus with exercises in the classroom; analysis and discussion of cases; role-playing; seminars with experts and research and synthesis work.
The continuous evaluation will consist of an individual written test (60%) + 2 case studies (40%)
Exam evaluation - Written work (60%) with oral discussion (40%)
The student cannot have an evaluation lower than 10 values in any of the works or dimensions of evaluation, whether written or oral.
