Learning Goals
Develop clinical reasoning, in the diagnostic evaluation, in the statement of the interventions and in the evaluation of the results to the person in a critical situation
Recognize the different care contexts and the management of intervention priorities for people in critical situations
Demonstrate knowledge in advanced life support: adult, pediatric and trauma, in face of the person in critical situation
Understand the principles inherent to transportation for people in critical situations and / or organic bankruptcy
Analyse the national organ harvesting and transplantation plan
Demonstrate knowledge about substitute therapies for the vital functions of the person in a critical situation and / or organ failure
Design a care plan for people in critical situations to anticipate instability and risk of organ failure

Teaching Methods
Student-centered teaching is intended, which encourages reflection and values cognitive and interpersonal processes, advocating the acquisition and development of concepts, problem solving, constant research and practical work where aspects of intervention are clearly identified nursing therapy.
In laboratory practice classes and some theoretical-practical classes, the will be divided into small groups, these will follow a training program with theoretical and practical sessions centered on simulation learning methodology, with scenarios for intervention in VAS. The performance of students in these classes will be subject to continuous evaluation with written test evaluation at the end and practical assessment 30% for each of the SAVs 10% for other topics. The final evaluation results from the weighted average of: Adult SAV 30% + Trauma SAV 30% + Pediatric SAV 30% + 10% other contents.
Assessment by exam:
Written test 50% individual and practical test 50% individual
